I have always felt what most people would call a ghostly presence since I was a kid. You know, where you could always feel that someone was watching you or that you weren't alone. I do believe in ghosts I always have, and I contribute that to the fact that I live in an old house built around 1850-1890. One summer when I was about 14, almost 15, I was sick. I was having alot of extreme ear infections. During that time, I was unable to sleep at night and I would sleep during the day and then watch movies and tv at night. One particular night, I was sleeping and I was thirsty so I got up and headed to the kitchen to get a drink of water and grab some sore throat drops because my throat had been hurting. I had reached up to the cupboard when out of the corner of my eye I saw a bright pale light. It wasn't quite white - more off white - but you get the picture I hope. I looked over and I saw what looked like a lady. She was about 6/7" off of the ground and she was just there. She was very beautiful. I looked at her and she looked at me. I was terrified and I couldn't move for maybe about a minute, possibly less, but let me tell you it felt like forever. But when I could move again I ran as fast as I could back to my room. When I got there, I tried to convince myself that I really hadn't seen anything - that it was just a figment of my imagination. I knew and still knew what I saw. I have seen her a few times as the years went by usually in the same area, but there have been other places. I don't know who she is or why she is there, but now that I am older I know that she isn't there to scare me. She seems to be more of a comfort. I know that this sounds strange but sometimes I talk to her.
